Who We Are:
The Valley Women’s Business Network (VWBN) supports, educates and promotes women in the Annapolis Valley who are in business, who are professionals, or who aspire to start a business. We do this through the organization of networking meetings and events in the Annapolis Valley.
Our Mission
To be the go-to business resource for women who are entrepreneurs, professionals, or those aspiring to go into business.
Our Guiding Principles
- We support, educate and promote women in business
- We promote fair and ethical business practice
- We promote a healthy work-life balance
- We support one another as we pursue our personal business visions
What We Do:
Networking:
At our monthly meetings, our speakers offer insights related to your business and personal development. Meetings provide a forum for networking with other women in business, exchanging ideas, and promoting one another’s business.
Supporting our community:
Proceeds of our fundraising go towards:
- Bursaries for women in the business program at Nova Scotia Community College
- Support for businesswomen in developing countries through Kiva micro-lending
- Support for Valley women in business through seminars and networking meetings
Offering workplace education:
We offer a selection of professional 10-week training programs supported by the Nova Scotia Department of Labour, Skills and Immigration.
